Where do our coin auctions take place?

Coin auctions which are organised by Warwick & Warwick always take place in the Ballroom of the Court House, Jury Street, Warwick, CV34 4EW.

The Court House location is on the south side of Jury Street, at the intersection of Castle Street. Because it is also the Tourist Information Centre, it can be located on most maps marked with an ‘I'.

The nearest public car parks are:

  • New Street CV34 4RX
  • Linen Street CV34 4DT
  • St Nicholas Park CV34 4QY
  • West Rock CV34 4XQ

There is also plenty of on-street pay & display parking outside the Court House.

Viewing times for our rare coins auctions

Coin dealers and members of the public who prefer to make a first-hand inspection before they buy coins can view at Chalon House in Warwick.

Our viewing times are:

  • 9am – 4.30pm on the Friday, Monday and Tuesday prior to the sale.
  • 8.30am onwards on the day of the auction.

Please note that viewing is not available at the Court House Ballroom and there will be no viewing facility outside these periods.

If you want to buy rare coins in one of our coin auctions, you don't actually need to attend the sale in person.

To help make the buying process easier, commission bids can be placed in advance of the sale. To place a bid, you can use our Online Catalogue or do so by telephone, post, fax or e-mail.

It is worth remembering that our printed catalogues contain far fewer illustrations of lots than the online catalogue. Unless you are planning to attend the auction, the online catalogue is the best way to see all of the rare coins for sale.

When do I receive my rare coins?

In all of our rare and old coin auctions, the settlement of accounts and lot allocation takes place progressively in our premises – this means that when you buy coins you can collect them whilst the auction continues.

So as soon as you have finished bidding in the coin auction, you can pay and collect your coins immediately.
